Gold Mascara
To start off, I want to say that I bought the gold mascara after being SUPER happy with the blue and green mascara from the same range. I was really looking forward to this product and I did debate it for the longest time because of the price (the same happened with the blue and green mascara). I read a lot of reviews, got it swatched for me on the retailer at the store, watched reviews and I was really conflicted because the swatch came out ok, not perfect, but I don't like testing products on my actual face for hygiene reasons. The bad reviews I took with a grain of salt because I am super happy with the other mascaras I have in this range. So I bought it after a few months deliberation because I really wanted a gold mascara (not yellow) and was super pressed in finding one. I also wanted the pink one, but the price is really way out range for me. The gold mascara went on sale, so I bought it (I bought a pink mascara from another brand) and waited anxiously for the product to arrive. ... super disappointed. I gave it two stars - 1 star becuase the packaging is really good and sturdy and I love the feel of the mascara in my hand and the 2nd star was given because some glitter did transfer on to my eyelashes but the overall execution was very poor. You really have to product on before it shows up. It's fine though - if you find the other colours, then totally give them a try! YSL does now how to make mascaras, I just don't know whether glitter mascaras are generally difficult or this was just a dud.
