This is in no way a GRADUAL tanner...

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

For the price I was expecting a decent product that wouldn't result in me looking like an Umpa Lumpa - and that is absolutely not what I got. - This smells like fake tan, that should have been my first red flag - The colour is MAD orange and it's not a subtle glow, it's a heavy application - basically like a full on fake tan - It streaks and goes patchy if you don't exfoliate, wear a mitt etc etc etc... .... This is NOT a gradual tanner, it's a full on fake tan. If you want something subtle and glowy, stick to Garnier,.

Great gradual tanning cream

If you are looking for a natural looking , moisturising , gradual tanner. Good  colour and tone is the biggest factor for you? and tan smell is something you could put up with if all those boxes are ticked? then this is the product for you! I love how natural this tan looks and how thick and moisturising it is. So in my opinion, this is the best tanning cream I have used and I have used a lot.  But if you are looking for a light gradual tanner, with a thin lotion and no smell? Bondi Sands gradual tanning milk could be great for you

Awful smell

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I bought this based on reviews but am really disappointed, I don’t mind the biscuit / tan smell but thus isn’t supposed to have that smell yet it’s really strong. It also smells horrible going on and is quite thick. Only reason for not giving 1 star is that the colour seems fairly good but I wouldn’t buy this again.   I’ve used a lot of different ones and this definitely smells the worst :-(

Natural looking tan

I used this just before going to the Canaries in mid winter so legs quite pale. I used it after exfoliating my legs and they looked great, just like a natural tan. It doesn't have a horrid smell and no orange glow. Highly recommend.

This product gives a good even colour with no nasty smell. Does need to be applied every day or at least every other.

Would be 5* if it didn't smell!

Historically I've had an allergic reaction to all self-tanning products, tried most over the years, including top brands such as Clinique, Clarins etc.. all brought me out in a spotty, and REALLY itchy rash, so I'd given up until I was recommended Vita Liberata by a friend – took a chance (just did one lower leg as a test the 1st time) - and I couldn't be more delighted - no itching! I’m so impressed with this product; of course you have to practise putting it on to avoid darker patching around the elbows, knees, ankles and feet (dry skin areas), but that’s the same for all self-tan products; a light smear of moisturiser on those areas before application helps. Also I note the further into application, and the more saturated the mitt gets, so the 1st limb (with dry mitt) usually needs a 2nd, light going over, or alternate which leg you do 1st if you’re doing a couple of applications, or, just start with areas that need less colour like belly, shoulders etc.. by the time you’re at legs and arms the mitt is saturated and gives better coverage. It gives a good, natural looking colour, even after just one application. The smell: well – this is why it doesn’t get 5*! Their claims about not having the usual self-tan smell are not true! It doesn’t smell to begin with, but it builds, milder maybe than some products but still that classic self-tan smell 😔 - I apply mine mid-afternoon, early evening, the smell ‘peaks’ during the night, but then after a morning shower it’s gone, no problem if you’re applying pre-holiday. Just ordered the Phenomenal 2-3-week Tan Mousse to test pre-holiday so hopefully it’s as good.. Feels great to be able to have a natural looking colour without the itching!
