Formulated to provide mild exfoliation, the Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2% Superficial Peeling Formulation from The Ordinary promotes a smoother, more evenly-toned complexion.
The serum is fortified lactic acid, an exfoliating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to help improve the appearance of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture. The addition of a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative helps to soothe sensitive skin, while hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture.
Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.
Apply once per day, ideally in the PM. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.)

Amazing product!
This is my first product from The Ordinary and I love it. I’ve used it for two weeks now and I’m amazed at how lively and glowing my skin is. (I never had serious problems with my skin, the only thing I didn’t like about it were the little pimples on my forehead I would get during summer from sun exposure and the sun spots on my upper cheeks.) This product had brightened my skin, cleared my forehead pimples and made my skin very VERY smooth. And I absolutely love my skin in the morning after I use this product the night before.

Of course I had high expectations for my first purchase of a product by The Ordinary. I was not disappointed at all. It's the best product I've ever used on my face, there were IMMEDIATE noticeable positive results. My face just seems so much happier now. I had to purge originally so there were plenty of whiteheads but that's to be expected, and my face has never been so glowy and soft and just all around happy. I had lots of texture and colour issues and they're all clearing up (it's only been a few weeks). Will definitely continue to buy. I had no irritation or anything so will be going for 10% next but I'd recommend to start with 5.

Amazing product
I have had really problematic skin for some time now due to hormonal contraception and other medications. I have tried no end of products and treatments from Pro Activ to PRP (vampire) facial and nothing has worked as well as this. I have applied a few drops to my face each night before bed and massaged it in along with some of the hyaluronic acid by the Ordinary as well. After the first time I could notice a difference, and now after just 4 days my spots have completely cleared, my skin is soft and smooth and feels amazing. Can’t believe how good it is, and the cheapest product I have ever tried. I would highly recommend!

Finished the bottle few weeks ago. Really helped with my acne spots. Ive started getting a little spots again on my neck and chin. Going to repurchase just this time I really want to try lactic acid 10%. Will see how it'll go. But so far- love it love it love it. Definetly need it !

Wonderful
I bought lactic acid for night use and I'm loving it! Everything about the product is wonderful. Girls of oily skin and acne can use it without fear, it helps to give a diminished in acne marks, resulting in a more uniform skin. I've been testing for two weeks on alternate nights before my night moisturizer and I can see a visible difference. It makes a gentle peeling on the skin, which does not bother me at all with the day and does not leave the skin looking ugly, quite the opposite. She is gentle with the skin and leaves a beautiful skin, with the appearance of well-groomed rich skin, I loved it!
