The Ordinary's AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is a potent formula that acts as a ten-minute exfoliating facial, helping to revitalise and tone the complexion's appearance.
The scientifically developed formula delivers a specified blend of 30% alpha hydroxyl acids (glycolic, lactic, tartaric and citric), as well as 2% beta hydroxyl salicylic acid. The duo have been carefully pH balanced for optimum efficacy, working to deeply exfoliate the surface layer of skin, unclog the look of pores and visibly re-texturise the complexion. Plant-derived Tasmanian pepperberry offers soothing properties, while a cross-polymer form of hyaluronic acid seeks to deeply rehydrate the skin. Topped off with radiance-enhancing black carrot extract, the illuminating serum promotes the look of revitalised, glowing skin.

- Recommended Amount: No more than twice a week.
- Application: Apply evenly across the face and neck with fingertips. Leave on for no more than 10 minutes. This low-viscosity solution is intended to be used as a mask.

I used this for the first time last night; applied a thin layer for 5 minutes and wasn't expecting anything to happen immediately of course. I've woken up this morning and my little cluster of acne scar hyperpigmentation, which is usually a bright, fire engine red, has died down to a duller, pinkier colour. Are my acne scars still obvious? Of course. But I cannot remember the last time they didn't look so dark and angry. I'm genuinely excited to apply another treatment next week to see how far this stuff really goes. I have very sensitive skin, but only experienced a very light tingly feeling whilst the serum sat on my face, and whilst it didn't feel as moisturising as some other reviews have said (I have had a very, very small amount of peeling around my scars), it also didn't leave my skin feeling totally dried out.

Surprised by how well it works
I genuinely did see an improvement in my skin after a few weeks. I've never really noticed the effects of exfoliating products as much as with this. My skin was brighter, my pores clearer and reduced. It's a thicker liquid and I did find I needed to use more than expected to cover the areas of my face I needed it. It did sting and tingle - my face was red afterwards but that cleared up by morning and my skin looked better. I was impressed for how well it worked for the price point. Just to note: the dropper did drip and I got a few red drops on some fabrics but they did wash out.

Be careful
This is very potent stuff, definitely don’t use if you’re not an experienced acid peel user. I was silly and used it despite not having much experience with acid peels and ended up with a chemical burn. Luckily it heeled up nicely. I am continuing to use it but for 5 minutes at a time until my skin gets used to it, this seems to be fine and it’s not burning me now

Great product but don’t overdo it as it can ruin your barrier. It’s an amazing product but I did get a bit addicted and overused it. Use 2-3 times a week max and follow the Instruction.

if you are just start to use this product, you might leave it for less then ten minutes as indicated on the bottle. This will help to build your skin's tolerance to acid. I left it for 10 min the first time and it left my skin feeling dry. With the right use and consistency, it has help to fade my dark spots ( I have freckle-like pigmentation)
