Nourishing, protective and lightweight, SHU UEMURA ART OF HAIR Essence Absolue is infused with rich camellia oil to help protect the hair fibre against dryness, frizz and UV damage.
SHU UEMURA ART OF HAIR Essence Absolue offers intense nutrition and protection against sun damage. Your hair is left easier to detangle with a unique shine and a supple touch.
Directions of use:
- Apply 1-2 pumps from root through the lengths.
- Use before shampooing or as a leave-in product.
To use as a styling aid, apply 1 pump to your hands (a little goes a long way) and work through hair from mid-lengths to ends. To use as a pre-shampoo treatment, use 3-4 pumps and comb into dry hair before shampooing. To use as a conditioning treatment, apply 1 pump each to 4 sections of hair from mid-lengths through ends, and massage into scalp. Leave overnight and style as normal in the morning.

I was reluctant to spend so much on a hair oil, but I was so impressed the difference it made to my hair that I will certainly buy again when I run out! I have fine, straight, fly away hair that has been very dry and prone to split ends. I use one or two pumps of hair oil on towel-dry hair and blow dry, and it's like a magical elixir that turns my hair beautifully soft and smooth after blow drying. I've even felt able to cut down on the amount I straighten my hair because it just looks great after the blow dry alone. I never normally leave reviews but I was so impressed with this product I had to share!

So SO happy with this product
I've tried so many hair products over the years and I've finally found the one. I will be using this forever. My hair is fine and occasionally frizzy but this product sorts it all out. I can’t recommend this oil enough, I haven’t had it all that long and I’m already hooked. I have lots of hair, but it’s very fine, so it can get knotty and scraggy looking quite easily. This product honestly solves this. I’ve tried numerous oils and this trumps them all somehow. Smells lovely and you get a huge amount for your money. I’ve had so many compliments since using it too. Where do I start? I’m super hair maintenance about my hair and I’ve literally tried ALL types of branded hair oils over the past decade.. Kerastase, Morroccan oil, Joico, Macadamia etc and NOTHING compares to the Essence Absolue. It is the one and only hair product I use after washing my hair. I don’t need anything else apart from this. Its not a heavy nor a greasy oil but hydrates and leaves my hair perfectly smooth and shiny. I’ve repurchased this religiously over the years and its one of the only hair products I have stayed faithful to and cannot live without. Even when I went backpacking, I couldn’t leave this at home! It might be expensive but a bottle lasts me most of the year.
