Treat dry, damaged and brittle hair to the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Leave-In Conditioner; a deeply nourishing formula made with natural, certified organic and ethically sourced ingredients.
Fortified with omega-rich Jamaican Black Castor Oil, the detangling conditioner promotes healthy hair growth, whilst Peppermint invigorates the scalp and Shea Butter replenishes moisture to leave hair soft, smooth and manageable. Creates a lightweight, protective film to defend against breakage and split ends.
Free from sulphates, parabens, phthalates, paraffin, mineral oil and synthetic colour.
Not tested on animals.
Apply to clean, towel-dried hair. Work a generous amount of product into hair from root to ends. Comb through for even distribution. Do not rinse. Apply more to longer hair at the end of problem areas. Can also be used as a rinse-out conditioner.

A good conditioner for thirsty hair.
This product helped to really nourish my hair although I had to wash it back out to feel the benefit - I didn’t like the texture when the mask was left in but it felt great when I washed it out the next day. For that reason I will stick with the hair mask from the same brand. I’ve used it previously and it’s incredible.

Incomplete ingredients list-NOT CGM FRIENDLY
I recently started my curlygirl routine and after much research bought the Shea Moisture strengthen and restore. I have been using this for several weeks now, and although I love the smell and feel of the product I have seen little improvement in my frizzy hair. I had another look at the products I was using and the ingredients, and discovered that the last 2 lines of nasty ingredients on the tub are NOT included in the product description on this website... WHY??? This product contains, among others not listed, ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL and is NOT CGM friendly.

Like this a lot
Just cut my hair so I’m new to the whole natural hair thing. I have 4c hair and only ever used the cantu leave in. It made my scalp super itchy and I generally regretting applying it everytime I used it. This is the only other leave in I’ve tried and I really like it. I think it does a decent moisturising job, a very good conditioning job and it smells amazing. Would recommend

I have used this product for 7 years
I am a firm follower of Shea and loooove this leave in. It smells amazing, plenty of slip and my hair loves it. Only problem is the hold isn't long lasting on my curls, so I always make sure to use a curl gel or stronger product alongside it which works well. the screw top is also super reliable and never spills.

Not for me
This leave-in conditioner has a very thick consistency due to its ingredients- a little goes a long way. It is good value for money especially considering the size of the tub. This product is probably too thick for my medium-density, wavy hair that would better suit a leave-in with a lighter consistency. It is very moisturising, however, I noticed on the ingredients list on the tub that it contains Isopropyl Alcohol, a drying alcohol. This was not stated on the website. Although this is relatively far down the list and doesn't seem to affect the product's moisturising qualities, it's not great that the full, correct/updated ingredients are not listed on the website. My main criticism with this leave-in is the smell- I really really dislike the smell. The scent reminds me of a mix between cake batter and play dough and it is rather potent. Other reviews from various cites have stated this too, some liking the smell, others not. Overall, a good product that is very moisturising, only that it would suit someone else better than it did me.

Probably not for fine hair
So yeah I dont know what I expected to be honest because what I was looking for was hair product that can replace my conditioner. But I haven't realized this is not particularly for fine hair. It has amazing scent, even after two days (I was really surprised), I really like how easy is this product to use, however it might be too much for fine hair because when I apply a bit much than little, it might leave my hair oily. Another surprising thing is that this is so huge that I'm gonna probably use for the year or two. But yes I don't use conditioner anymore, just this leave-on conditioner and I really enjoy this product so far.

Lovely and soft
