Better than expected!
Like many others, not attending a regular beautician in lockdown has been hard. But I bought this hard wax to use at home. I was surprised at how easy I found it to use. Once melted it was easy to apply and painless on removal. Would definitely recommend and buy again!

Hurts a lot more than my usual
I ran out of my favourite wax so I thought I’d try this - it smells nasty, it melts lumpy and takes a very long time because it’s not wax beads more like wax blocks. Also it’s a lot more painful than my usual wax. Also it’s really small amount for the price. I’m gona use it up since I’ve opened it but I can’t wait to go back to my old wax. Never straying away again. Don’t recommend.

The wax is okay, it is very lumpy on a low heat and then on a higher heat its burns the skin. I also opened one of the boxes and found it had been opened from underneath and wax was taken out of the box. Usually sellotaped on either side of the box and 3 pods. One side was cut open and 2 pods of wax was in the box.

I love it
Before this the only hard wax I tried was the chinese one. This smells wonderful and works better too. Hard wax is THE BEST at removing very short hair, and it's the most painful thing to use on long hair. I mostly use it on my facial hair, as no stripping action involved means no risk of bruises or sagging skin in the long run.

I seem to get through these quite fast, but they really are great. They don’t get stuck to my skin and rip the top layer off like soft wax does, and are pretty pain free. Love how convenient they are to use at home, the tablet size is good too, as one quarter is just enough. They grip really short hair too, if you can see it then it works, no waiting for days.

This is my second time using Rio hard wax, I usually use it on my bikini area and I find it works a treat. I have really thick hair so hard wax is best for me. Only downside was I burnt myself a little as the wax was too hot ( next time I'll let it cool first)
