The design/packaging of this kit is really nice and would make a lovely present. The bag also makes it nice and easy to store everything. The rollers are great if you're starting out/learning how to curl your hair, but I don't think they have a particularly strong grip so you definitely need the clips to help secure them. The clips are lovely and can be used to help create various hairstyles. Overall, I think this is a great starter kit.

These are good to experiment with if you want to try rollers out but I didn't find they gripped my hair. Clips can be used by themselves.
