For liquid foundation, place small dollop on the tip of the brush, for powder foundation, dip tip into powder foundation, tapping off excess. Dab brush across the high points of the face (forehead, chin, cheeks and nose). In circular motion, blend product for a smooth, streak-free finish.

I usually use a sponge but decided to give this a go as it was recommended. I must say it gives a really nice finish to my foundation. Only thing I will say is it needs cleaning after a couple of uses otherwise it'll leave streak marks, but it's really easy to clean! Overall would definitely recommend, even for beginners!
