Brightens tone
I've not used another toning shampoo so don't have a comparison, but this product is really brightening up my blonde hair. I have regular non-bleach highlights put in my hair and they'd started to lose their brightness and have more of a honey tone. I use it every 3 washes and can really see the difference.

Works but leaves hair very dry… use a purple nourishing mask afterwards to save your hair
This definitely works, but the toning effect could be stronger. Its no better than the purple shampoo offered by Kérastase and It’s also quite difficult to apply and lather, I have to use a lot of it each time to ensure all my hair is covered. It smells like blackcurrant flavoured cough medicine and you must wear gloves or it will stain your hands/ nails purple. Hair feels extremely dry after using this… follow it with a hair mask. For best results follow up with the Kérastase Blond Absolu Masque Ultra Violet. I find that alone the shampoo doesn’t tone as much I prefer.

I have bleached hair which is toned to an icy white colour which I love but is gone after the 1st wash leaving it brassy. Decided to try this product despite it's high cost. So glad I did! Even though you have to be careful to not leave it on too long to prevent purple ends & wear gloves to stop staining your hands it is a game changer! My hair is staying the colour I paid highly for at my hairdresser. I also use 0, 3 & 6.

Do not use as a shampoo
I bought this and the conditioner. I didn't realise that you should still use the normal olaplex shampoo first. So if you use this product it's a 3 step process, it does not lather otherwise. But it does keep your hair blonde.
