Developed with dermatologists, the Neutrogena Clear and Defend Facial Wash is a lightweight gel cleanser that protects from blemish-causing bacteria and breakouts.
Powered by 2% salicylic acid, the foaming formula gently buffs away dead skin cells and impurities to encourage a visibly smooth, supple complexion. Daily dirt and product debris is effortlessly removed, while skin is left feeling refreshed and renewed post-use.
Use twice a day. Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly.

Pretty good
I’ll start by saying I have oily/combination skin. I think this cleanser works pretty well, however it does feel a little drying so I would not recommend for people with drier skin types. I don’t get many breakouts apart from that time of the month, so I can’t say whether it helps with acne, however I do feel like my breakouts have been less angry and haven’t lasted as long. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Neutrogena Face Wash
Nice face wash, and I liked the foaming element to the gel. However, after I started using it, my face broke out in spots, which have still not fully cleared. I probably wouldn’t use this again in the future, but it is good as a cheap, natural face wash. I received this as a free sample from Home Tester Club.

Unfortunately not for me

Fantastic!
I struggle with blackheads and flare ups of spots. This product massively cleared up my skin just after the first use and after a few days I found my skin was pretty much completely cleared up. After using the product for 3 weeks following the instructions on the bottle, I found my skin looks much clearer and healthier. My skin is combination however closer to winter times I find my skin is more prone to being dryer than normal (as expected) and as this is recommended for oilier skin (which I usually have) I’d recommend moisturising after each use to prevent drying the skin. Overall I’ve found this product to be very effective and I would definitely recommend!! #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Not for me
The product promises big results, and the actives sound exactly what I need but it’s just not right for me. Far too harsh for every day use as recommended…I started with once every other day and it quickly dried my skin out. The fragrance was also overpowering unfortunately. It would probably be great for someone with much oilier skin than mine, but such is life not everything will be good for everyone! #HomeTesterClubFreeSample
