Developed with dermatologists, the Neutrogena Clear and Defend Facial Wash is a lightweight gel cleanser that protects from blemish-causing bacteria and breakouts.
Powered by 2% salicylic acid, the foaming formula gently buffs away dead skin cells and impurities to encourage a visibly smooth, supple complexion. Daily dirt and product debris is effortlessly removed, while skin is left feeling refreshed and renewed post-use.
Use twice a day. Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly.

Cleanses but bid of an odd smell!
This cleanser lathers nicely and seems to work alright. I can't say I have noticed a particularly big difference in the number of blemishes yet, but it hasn't made me break out as some cleansers do. As it does have an BHA in I have been giving my skin a break from it every so often as it is quite strong. The smell is quite unusual and I'm not too keen on it personally, but some may like it! #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Not for my skin, but great for others
I tried this hopefully, as I have somewhat greasy, spot-prone skin. Unfortunately, on this occasion this cleanser was simply too harsh - something in it set my skin off, and I actually ended up with worse acne than before I used it. The texture, colour, smell etc are all great, the bottle is convenient, and I imagine for significantly greasier skin or very hardy skin it would be fantastic, but for me it just made things worse unfortunately.

Almost my perfect product!
I found Neutrogena face wash a really great addition to my Neutrogena oil free moisturiser. The packaging is stand out and gives a look of high quality and specialist/medicinal, which instils confidence in the product. Initially I noticed how good the scent was. Fresh and pleasant. The wash pumps easily into the palm and is what I think, a perfect consistency. I liked the feel against my skin as I applied it, and it foams up a little. I was impressed that it not only left my skin feeling probably cleansed and deeply toned, but also not tight and like it was begging for moisture restoration. Negatives i would say (but these would not stop me purchasing it in future) are that it would be great if the packaging was more Eco friendly, and ingredients were more natural. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Fresh
I really liked this face wash, I have been using the same brand for a long time so I worried a change may cause me to breakout but this left my skin feeling fresh and clean. No breakouts and it even helped my hormonal acne (perimenopause). Love it and will definitely be buying again. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Left my face feeling super clean and fresh
Made my face feel super clean and fresh. Removed make up with ease and had a pleasant scent. Although it dried my skin out a little and made my face feel a little tight after drying. Better than expected
When I first received the Neutrogena Face Wash and I noticed that it only had 2% salicylic acid in the ingredients. I really wasn't expecting much, but it's really surprised me with the results after just 2 weeks of usage. I suffer with hormonal breakouts but since using this I've literally had not 1 single spot which is amazing. You only need a pea sized amount because it lathers up really well, not like my usual N & F branded product (Salicylic Acid Range) where you need quite alot. Definitely going to keep using this instead. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

great facial wash

Super effective daily facial wash!
Despite this facial wash containing 2% salicylic acid it is very gentle on my skin when used on a daily basis. It effectively cleans my skin without it feeling like it has completely dried it out. My skin now feels fresh and rejuvenated. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample
