Developed with dermatologists, the Neutrogena Clear and Defend Facial Wash is a lightweight gel cleanser that protects from blemish-causing bacteria and breakouts.
Powered by 2% salicylic acid, the foaming formula gently buffs away dead skin cells and impurities to encourage a visibly smooth, supple complexion. Daily dirt and product debris is effortlessly removed, while skin is left feeling refreshed and renewed post-use.
Use twice a day. Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly.

Very cleansing
The product was very good at deep cleansing my skin it almost had a squeaky clean feeling but did feel a little tight after. I tried it on my daughter who is going through puberty and has hormonal acne. It definitely made the breakouts less red and angry. Her skin looked calmer. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Works but left my skin dry
I was given this product to try from the home tester club in exchange for an honest review. This product is easy to use, it has a pump applicator that i found to be really useful in obtaining the right amount of product. A little really did go a long way. The product foams well and feels bice to use. It has made a difference to blemishes and my skin is clearer. After around 5 days i started to notice small dry patches on my face that required a slight change in my skin care routine. I would use this product again but only if i had an outbreak due to the drying. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

I love this product
I have a problematic skin, I get breakouts (even at 40) and find it difficult to find products that would help and prevent this happening. I absolutely love this product, although it could be slightly drying it’s nothing that a bit of moisturiser couldn’t resolve. my skin is so much clearer! I am more than happy to use this in future. Not for me
Not very impressed with this face wash, I found it dried my skin out quite a bit. I have used products in the past with hyaluronic acid in and they have improved my skin, but this didn't. I wouldn't use it again for that reason. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Great face cleanser

Gentle and effective
I received this product free from Home Tester Club in exchange for my honest review. The first thing to note is the fact it’s pump style which I like as it helps reduce waste and over use of product. The housing is orange but also transparent so I can see how much product I have left which is also a winner. The cleanser is actually clear in colour. The texture is silky smooth and foams up incredibly well ensuring a deep cleanse. I used a micro fibre cloth to remove and it rinsed off with ease. I expected due to the ingredients that I may experience some dryness but that wasn’t the case. It left my skin refreshed and feeling great. I’ve been using it for over two weeks now and my skin has significantly improved, in that I’ve not experienced any new blemishes or spots and my pores are also improving. In addition to this, the appearance of previous scars are also improving. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Face feels fresh and cleansed
This face wash was really easy to use in the shower due to the pump action dispenser. My face felt fully cleansed afterwards and there was no makeup residue left. My face feels fresh and I have had fewer breakouts since using this product. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Neutrogena Spot Controlling Facial Wash
This facial wash was very easy to use and glided on my skin well, it had a nice fragrance. It lathered well, my face felt clean, smoother and it helped decrease the amount of spots on my face. A great product that left my face looking clearer. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample
