Developed with dermatologists, the Neutrogena Clear and Defend Facial Wash is a lightweight gel cleanser that protects from blemish-causing bacteria and breakouts.
Powered by 2% salicylic acid, the foaming formula gently buffs away dead skin cells and impurities to encourage a visibly smooth, supple complexion. Daily dirt and product debris is effortlessly removed, while skin is left feeling refreshed and renewed post-use.
Use twice a day. Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly.

skin is smoother, not over drying
this is a mild yet effective cleaner, i felt my skin is more smoother and brighter. feels less bumpy. and it does not over dry my skin.

Great for breakout skin
I love this facewash, I get hormonal breakouts and it is a real godsend to help me keep my face clean, clear but not dry or stripped feeling. The smell is pleasant but not at all strong, it has a good gel texture that doesn't clog the nozzle. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Brighter and smoother

Spot fighter in a bottle
The Neutrogena Clear & Defend face wash is absolutely brilliant! The pump bottle makes it so easy to use and it stands perfectly at the side of my bathroom sink. The texture of the face wash is lovely. It’s not at all greasy,it smells amazing and its pumps well without getting stuck like some do. The face wash feels lovely to use and after using for 2 weeks there is a significant improvement in my skin. My skin feels more even and I have far less spots. Will definitely continue to use this product…. If I can’t win my daughter to the bathroom every morning ! #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Hmm not sure
I have really oily skin and was excited to start trialling this product. It arrived and I really like the pump dispenser, no mess and easy to use. At first the smell was pleasant but as it foams it becomes quite chemical smelling and a bit strong. I have been using the product for approx 4 weeks now and haven't really noticed much difference in my skin or complexion. I'll continue to use it but at the moment, I'm a bit undecided! #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Effective but very bubbly!
Overall I liked this product, it was effective and not strongly scented (always a bonus). However, perhaps because I am used to cream cleansers, I found it a bit too foamy and struggled to rinse all of the bubbles from my face! Whilst it didn’t make my skin worse/it helped to clear up some breakouts, I don’t think it’s quite the right product for me (of course everyone’s skin is different) #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

I’ve tried a lot of products for my skin due to having a lot of break outs all my life now age 36 and still have them. I’ve found using this products as calmed my flare ups a lot and kept them under control. I’ve had very little spot but still had a few.
