The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

Effective but a bit drying
I have quite bad adult acne, including a lot of acne scars. I get a mixture of surface acne and cystic acne. The point is, I've tried a lot of acne products. I quite liked this face wash -- it lathers up nicely and leaves my skin feeling clean and not tight/dry. I noticed that after a few uses, I did notice some flakiness/dryness around my eyes especially. But -- I do think it's been effective in helping to control breakouts. I haven't had any cystic acne while using this product. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

This face wash is amazing, it honestly left my face glowing, it felt so clean and didn't irritate it or break my skin out, I can't recommend this enough!! Love this!
Iv had this product for three weeks now and I'm very impressed with it. I was having a bad time with Whiteheads and black heads and even oiliness but using this product all that settled within a week! But be sure to use a good moisturiser that compliments it after as it does tighten and dry the skin slightly. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Not Great
Unfortunately I had a really bad reaction to this product. Within 3 days of using it I broke out it tiny spots all over my face which then dried and cracked. I stopped using it immediately. I wouldn't recommend this product. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Nice cleanser

Easy to use and effective results
Great facial wash that is easy to use and has effective results. I have been using it once daily as it does contain salicylic acid and AHA which makes my skin a little sensitive if I use it twice a day. Definitely helps with clearing congestion and ensuring skin stays clearer for longer. Skin looked brighter too. No unpleasant scent. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Great for blemish prone skin
Amazing cleanser for blemish prone skin. I've been using it once every other day and it improved my skin dramatically. I struggle with acne and my skin is very oily in some areas and dry in others and this cleanser worked great for my skin type, it didn't dry it out but also cleaned effectively. My skin feels smoother and clearer and I have less breakouts. The texture is gel like and feels nice on the skin, one pump is enough for the whole face.
