Now available in four universally-flattering shades, the cult-favourite NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder is designed to enhance the complexion in any lighting, whilst being undetectable on skin.
The no-flashback powder utilises Photochromic Technology to diffuse and adjust to new sources of light, creating a perfected, naturally luminous finish, both in person, and on camera.
The formula’s Light Reflecting Complex imparts a soft-focus effect, optically blurring the appearance of pores and fine lines, while microfine mineral powders enriched with Glycerin and antioxidant-rich Vitamin E help to maintain hydration.
Silica, Dimethicone, Lauroyl Lysine, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract, Glycerin, Magnesium Silicate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polysilicone-2, Ethylhexylglycerin, Water/Aqua/Eau, Citric Acid, Barium Sulfate, Alumina, Sea Water/Maris Aqua/Eau De Mer, Chlorphenesin, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, [+/-(May Contain/Peut Contenir): Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Mica, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891)] .

Great powder, strange scent
After using the pressed powder version, I thought I'd try the loose format to see if it lasted longer. From pictures I've seen online, I think the packaging has changed in recent months (maybe longer) and I have the newer version, which probably works better if you use a puff to apply powder. But I use a brush, which doesn't work easily with the gauze that sits over the opening of the tub. I've actually cut the gauze on mine to make it easier to load powder onto my brush. I'm not sure if it's the gauze, the powder itself, or it might just be a dodgy batch; but there is a somewhat odd smell about this product. It is reminiscent - to me - of a family camping trip to the Isle of Wight, where I had the misfortune of my dad's trainers in fairly close proximity to my face when in bed at night. A sort of musty, cheesy feet kind of smell. Which isn't top of my list for the scent of a product I apply to my face every day. But, the powder is good and it's too expensive not to use up, so I persevere. I will probably try something else once it's finished though - purely because of the smell.

Shame the packaging changed
This always used to be my fav powder however I’m not keen on the new packaging it makes it difficult when using a powder puff to set under eyes as not as much powder comes out it’s better if you’re using a brush

Nice!
I have mixed oily skin. In summer, I need a loose powder with such a good makeup setting effect. The powder is very fine. It can be brushed on my face for a second, and the oil control effect is very good. It can maintain the face without oil for half a day. After oil comes out, I use white cakes to make up, which is very nice.
