Despite being a gel, it absorbes well and leaves a silky touch, making it a perfect make-up base as it reduces friction. It is also perfume-free (I've read differently on another review, but I don't perceive any scent), which is great on my sensitive eyes. That being said, my dark circles and wrinkles are still there. I wasn't expecting any effectiveness on that to be honest, but I always hold a secret tiny hope that creams would eventually do what they say. This is not the case (or any others', for that matter). I just find it a bit annoying that brands keep on claiming effects they do not have (hence the 3 stars). This is a great moisturising product gentle on the delicate eye contour area - let's stick to this description (which would win it 5 stars).
