Powered by a micro-skin system that promotes a true skin-like result, the Make Up For Ever HD Skin Foundation offers an almost undetectable finish that seeks to blur imperfections for up to 24 hours of wear.
The waterproof liquid foundation boasts its flexibility to sync with the skin to help avoid caking or settling, for a lasting fresh-faced complexion. A buildable medium-to-full coverage formula provides a natural matte finish, supporting a soft-focus effect for filter-free flawlessness.

Start by applying the product from the centre of the face outwards, blending it onto the ears (if there is redness or if the hair is pulled back). Outwards: Continue with the chin and the facial contour. Upwards: Finish by applying the product to the forehead, blending it up.

Love this!
This is brilliant for my normal skin! I can't say it looks invisible or skin like as I am not sure anything does but I can use this most days without irritation. I do try not to wear it every day though as it contains alcohol which can be drying. I find the coverage to be medium and covers the majority of my redness which is exactly what I want in a foundation. I bought shade 1N14 and wear shade NC17 in Mac Studio Fix.

Good but not great
This is a nice foundation for day to day wear, but only for up to 5/6 hours and that’s with a primer (I have normal skin, not oily at all but with large pores.) It certainly looks skin-like and super beautiful with one layer but if you add any more than that, it very quickly starts to look cakey and ‘makeup-y.’ So unless your skin is near-perfect enough to only warrant one light layer, this doesn’t have a great finish when built up. It lasts only ok. It looks nicer in photos than in the flesh, but for me, it’s simply not flawless enough because I have other foundations that look good in both. Best for ‘no makeup makeup’. There are many better foundations than this but I’ll still use this up as you actually need quite a few pumps just to cover the face once. Shades are tricky: if it helps, I’m a 3N2 in Estée Lauder Double Wear, Vanuatu in Nars and around NC35 in Mac, and the shade 2N22 in this foundation was a great match.

New Make-up forever HD liquid foundation - dreadful plus poor colour match
I am an on screen TV presenter and since starting to film in high definition, this USED to be my go-to foundation, but I am desperately disappointed with the new formula for Make Up Forever's HD liquid foundation. It is horrible and sticky, thick, does not apply smoothly and the colour match was appalling. I used to use R300. I was advised by the company to match it to either 2N22 or 2R24 - unfortunately after checking online, I opted for 2N22, but it is far too yellow and not a good match at all. I was advised by a TV make up artist that Rimmel 24 hour lasting foundation would probably work as well as Make Up Forever - and it appears to. And is a much nicer colour. I shall not be buying this foundation again (we buy all our own hair and make up products and do both ourselves) and am looking to smashbox to see if there is an alternative or I shall continue with Rimmel. Very, VERY disappointed. Why discontinue a good thing? I used to love the old formula, it was beautiful and silky, lovely finish. This new formula is quite frankly horrible and I cannot wait until it is used up.

I used estee lauder double wear foundation before this but I have dry skin and it wasn’t the best foundation for me, clung to my dry skin. I got this foundation and honestly it’s great, long wear, doesn’t feel like I’ve got foundation on my face or anything, my t zone doesn’t get as shiny/oily and provides good coverage. Got plenty of compliments as well 😜

I have oily combo / skin but don't like overly matte foundations. This is more of a semi-matte with medium buildable coverage that looks very natural and skin-like. I personally prefer to apply with a beauty blender as I found a brush gives fuller coverage than I like. It lasts well on my skin and I'm really pleased with it!
