Reimagining and reformulating a cult classic, the Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra-Blur from Laura Mercier is enhanced with ultra-blurring powder pigments.
Delivering up to 16 hours of weightless wear, the finely milled powder veils the complexion in a soft-matte finish, capturing the illusion of flawless skin. The powder utilises amino acids and silica powders to refine the appearance of imperfections and control shine for an airbrushed, soft-focus effect. Arriving in three shades, the non-drying powder locks in makeup for long-lasting wear, taking your look from day to night.
To achieve the Flawless Face, saturate the Velour Puff with Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra-Blur, working powder into puff by folding and rubbing the halves together. Tap off excess. Press puff onto skin using a rolling motion to set makeup. The finishing step to achieving Laura’s iconic Flawless Face, pair with your favorite Pure Canvas Primer and Laura Mercier Foundation or Tinted Moisturizer for her signature No Makeup, Makeup look. I've recently finished my Charlotte Tilbury AIRBRUSH FLAWLESS FINISH powder and wanted to try a loose powder instead. I have oily skin and large pores and this kept the oil at bay and also made my pores less visible. Makeup stays in place all day using this along with a setting spray.

One of the best I have ever used
It doesn't turn my blemish cream all cakey and unpleasant as some other setting powders sometimes do. My only comment is I feel like it tints my makeup and ages me a little. It's a little too yellowy. I already have somewhat yellow skin and I've always found that Asian blemish creams more closely match my fair yellow-pink skin undertones than typical products sold in the UK, which can be too orange or pink and warmer in tone. Either way, I find the yellowing effect of this setting powder to be a bit disappointing. That said it's still vastly better than any other setting powders I have used, many either cake (often do) or they irritate my skin to the point of having to scrub my makeup off for how itchy and overbearing they can be. This sets light, doesn't suffocate my pores and although it's yellowy I think it's a pretty okay setting powder. That said I have given this four stars because it is not as translucent as I would have liked. They do have another shade, honey. But I think it would be too warm for my very fair skin.
