The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder puts an illuminating twist on traditional setting powders. Aside from keeping your makeup set for 16 hours, the powder uses pearl pigments to grace the skin with a naturally radiant finish. Enriched with vitamins C and E, the powder adds a touch of sheer coverage to promote a seamless matte finish.
The lightweight formula features a soft and silky texture, allowing it to subtly blur the appearance of imperfections without adding weight or looking cakey. What’s more, the no-flashback formula creates a soft-focus effect, making it perfect for photos. With two hues, Laura Mercier is suitable for virtually all skin tones. Adding this powder after your foundation combats unwanted shine and oily finishes, keeping it matte all day, while boasting a subtle luminosity.
- Application: Preparing the puff is key: press the Velour Puff into the loose powder, then work the powder into the puff by folding and rubbing the halves together, or by tapping the powdered side vigorously on back of the hand. Gently press puff onto skin, using a rolling motion to "work" the powder in. (Around the eyes, use Secret Brightening Powder For Under Eyes)
- Routine: As with all setting powders, apply after any creamy formulas, including cream blush.

Perfect powder !
Being in the over 40's bracket I usually avoid powders as they can settle in my fine lines and wrinkles and make me feel dry. After reading positive reviews on this product I decided to give it a go to set my under eye area and t-zone which can be particularly problematic. As this is a travel size I figured if it did not suit me I had not gone ahead and purchased the full size and would not be too disappointed. I have to say that this powder is amazing, it is so finely milled, does not settle in lines and creases and gives a fine filtered perfecting finish. I am super happy that I decided to buy it. It works both with a brush and with a damp beauty blender and diffuses and highlights all at the same time. As i do like to use a dewier foundation it is perfect for my needs and can also fit easily into my handbag. If you usually avoid heavy powders and just want something light this will do the trick.

Laura Mercier translucent powder
I had contemplated buying this for quite a while. I had read reviews some saying it was cakey and so on. I decided to buy the travel size to test it out. I am not disappointed! I love it. It’s flawless and not at all cakey and lasts all day without me having to touch it up. I bought the Charlotte Tilbury powder and was so let down by it. I will definitely be re purchasing this but in the full size version. Love it!!
