Developed for oily and blemish-prone skin types, the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ seeks to clarify and hydrate for up to 24 hours while providing visible results in just eight hours. The dual-action daily gel helps to minimise the appearance of imperfections, dark spots and discolouration, alongside diminishing the look of excess sebum for a more mattified finish.
Fortified with salicylic and lipo-hydroxy acids, the moisturiser provides a gentle micro-exfoliation, helping to decongest pores and promote smoother-looking skin. The formula is supported by niacinamide and zinc PCA, lending brightening and hydrating benefits, alongside encouraging a unified tone and texture. Mannose locks in moisture to help encourage a visibly smoother surface. An advanced phylobioma active ingredient tops the composition to protect from excess sebum and future breakouts, balancing the complexion and layering well with makeup to leave the skin feeling purified and nourished.

I have been using this for approximately 9 months and its been amazing for my skin. My recent re-purchase has been quite upsetting- has the formula changed? It seems really harsh and drying on my skin whereas before it was oil free but moisturising. I hope this is just a one off because this is my go to face cream :( not happy.

I've been using this product for the last two weeks and I can see already see a huge difference on the tiny little spots of my forehead. It doesn't get rid of hormonal spots but I'll continue to use it. I also noticed some dry patches around my chin, I'd recommend using a moisturiser with it to avoid your skin becoming too dry. Overall I'm really pleased with this product.

It's really important you clean your face thoroughly, I first remove my makeup with a wipe, exfoliate with the sanctuary spa cleansing brush (which is brilliant), tone and then apply this the la Roche Posey effacler duo +. I look forward to my evening routine because of this product. All you need is a pea sized amount. Although it is quite pricey it's so worth it

For the money this seems like a no-brainer - a moisturiser with chemical peel ingredients, 40 ml (so bigger than let's say no.7 serum which is 50% expensive), light but not drying... I am enjoying using this so far! Not a big fan of the scent, it's a bit kitchen-cleaner-ish - It'd be better to just skip scents altogether, perhaps making this even better for the more sensitive of us.
