Developed for oily and blemish-prone skin types, the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ seeks to clarify and hydrate for up to 24 hours while providing visible results in just eight hours. The dual-action daily gel helps to minimise the appearance of imperfections, dark spots and discolouration, alongside diminishing the look of excess sebum for a more mattified finish.
Fortified with salicylic and lipo-hydroxy acids, the moisturiser provides a gentle micro-exfoliation, helping to decongest pores and promote smoother-looking skin. The formula is supported by niacinamide and zinc PCA, lending brightening and hydrating benefits, alongside encouraging a unified tone and texture. Mannose locks in moisture to help encourage a visibly smoother surface. An advanced phylobioma active ingredient tops the composition to protect from excess sebum and future breakouts, balancing the complexion and layering well with makeup to leave the skin feeling purified and nourished.

Best moisturiser
I’ve always been prone to breakouts with painful under skin spots and this moisturiser has done wonders for my skin after trying so many products! It doesn’t feel hugely nourishing initially but it really does the job. 100% recommend

I’ve used the moisturiser a few times now and each time I used it my skin started to feel like it was burning. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but it stings for like 5-10 mins each time. I have oily, blemished skin so I thought this product woukd work but has ended up also drying my skin out, and when I apply makeup it just highlights the dryness of my skin. Personally I wouldn’t recommend this product.

This saved my skin
I always got the odd few spots when I was a teen but never anything too bad. when I reached 24 I started getting quite bad acne I tried tons of different creams and serums and nothing worked and it just seem to be getting worse including me starting to get acne scars. After a few months I ended up going to the doctors and they put me on a few things that still didn’t help. Then my cousin told me about this and I read the reviews on this even though I had kind of given up hope it couldn’t hurt to try. I started using it, cleansing my skin morning and evening and putting this on after and doing nothing else to my skin and three weeks later I haven’t had a spot since!! My acne scars have started fading and I honestly can’t thank this brand enough for saving my skin. I started cleansing with a Clinique cleanser but have since moved on the the foam gel Effaclar from this brand and it’s just been a miracle. So if the duo+ works out for you I would recommend the cleanser too.
