Developed for oily and blemish-prone skin types, the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ seeks to clarify and hydrate for up to 24 hours while providing visible results in just eight hours. The dual-action daily gel helps to minimise the appearance of imperfections, dark spots and discolouration, alongside diminishing the look of excess sebum for a more mattified finish.
Fortified with salicylic and lipo-hydroxy acids, the moisturiser provides a gentle micro-exfoliation, helping to decongest pores and promote smoother-looking skin. The formula is supported by niacinamide and zinc PCA, lending brightening and hydrating benefits, alongside encouraging a unified tone and texture. Mannose locks in moisture to help encourage a visibly smoother surface. An advanced phylobioma active ingredient tops the composition to protect from excess sebum and future breakouts, balancing the complexion and layering well with makeup to leave the skin feeling purified and nourished.

I am a 20 y/o, and have struggled with acne since my teen years. It has never been super bad, but I normally have a 2/3 spots at a time, with sometimes a week of clear skin. I started using this 4 months ago and it made me break out really badly over the duration of the 4 months i have been taking it. I only stopped using it 1 and a half weeks ago and my skin has already cleared up so much. However now my issue is that I have so many more dark marks/ hyperpigmentation from the spots this product caused. i would not recommend this to anyone. It has made my skin so much worse and now I have to try and undo the months of damage it has caused!

Been using this product a few weeks now, after trying a few other creams, but this seems to work best on my hormonal acne. It helps to calm down my spots on my chin that are red and under the skin. A little goes a long way too. Would give it 5 stars but if I use it every night it dries my skin a bit too much, so be sure to use a good moisturiser too, but it is effective in helping clear my skin. Would 100% buy again.

This is my second tube and I can definitely say it helped improve my skin condition, especially now that I am using much less other skincare than in winter. Coupled with the face wash from same range, helped minimize my breakouts which I was sick and tired of, and is doing well on moisturizing my combo skin while reducing a bit the shine on my nose. Pores are somewhat tighter as well, although I am using a pore tightening lotion so not sure where the effect comes from, but in combination everything seems to work well. Will keep repurchasing
