The continuous steam pressure of this unique tool, combined with its anodized ceramic plates, straightens and smooths the hair to leave it feeling smooth and looking glossy.
Designed to give you beautifully sleek and manageable tresses, this Professionnel Steampod is an new innovative hair styling invention from L'Oreal that can be used to create a variety of finishes, from smooth and supple looks to soft, tumbling waves.
Suitable for all hair types, this Steampod is similar to the traditional salon blow dry, except this treatment requires use of an ingenious preparation cream, enriched with cuticle-smoothing keratin, which is to be applied to shampooed hair before expertly blow-dried. Then working to deliver a localised stream of high pressure steam to the hair shaft, deeply hydrating the hair without causing heat damage, the Steampod gives you a high gloss finish that looks fresh from the salon.
With five temperature setting to suit all hair types, even coarse, thick locks, the Steampod tool boasts a water filtration system to produce pure steam to rehydrate and nourish damaged hair while the blow dry creams are packed with Pro-Keratin technology to help rebuild and strengthen fibres to leave hair looking smooth. Steampod saved years of my life
Steampod is not only an iron to straighten and dry hair. It's a revolution. Before Steampod I took 30 minutes to dry my hair, even with expensive smoothing treatments done at the hairdresser. Steampod takes me 10 minutes to keep the hair as just if come from the salon. Worth every penny and Lookfantastic allows a saving of about 25% compared to traditional commerce. The other products Steampod are not mandatory but potentiate the effect of Steampod as if regularly used your hair will become increasingly soft, smooth and less bulky. The Steampod itself already does wonders for our hair, drying it and smoothing it without damaging it as old dryers did. :)

2nd Steampod and counting
Steampod is the best thing ever invented. In the past I did a lot of smoothing treatments that supposed to last about 6 months but never did... With steampod I dry my long hair in about 10/15 minutes with a stylist result. The steampod products are awesome too and potentiate the effectiveness of the machine, but are not mandatory. The results are so good that I had to sold my machine to a friend and bough another for me... The service of Lookfantastic is awesome. I'm from Portugal so I had to buy an electric adapter witch cost me about 5€ so the price is very good as allows a saving of about 25% when compared with with traditional commerce shopping.

Undoubtedly excellent
The hair dont feel damaged after the use. Mine are quite thin (individual strand is thin) and curly so they tend to lose their shape after normal driers and straighteners. With this the hair remain tamed until next wash.

Won't turn on
The directions indicate to turn on and off switch continuously until the LED signal turns on. I've been trying for 5 minutes. Either this is broken or the switch is defective. I can see the switch going on this unit soon after use if you have to keep switching it on and off to work. I didn't even get a chance to use it as it doesn't turn on. Very disappointed.

I was using a ghd which basically fries your hair. This iron is excellent. It leaves your hair amazingly shiny with volume. Wow.

Excellent straightener
This is a superb straightener. I use it at the lowest temperature of 170 degrees as I have fine hair and do not need a higher temperature (not with this product anyway). It straighteners my hair with one pass and doesn't strip it of all its body/volume like my ghds do. The hair stays straight until the next wash - which is usually in about 3 days. I found the steampod easy to use. It didn't take me long to get used to making sure the arrows on the straightener are facing the correct way. The water in the container lasts me about three straightening sessions. I bought a large container of de- ionized water (as I have hard water where I live and this is what is recommended to do) to put into the steampod container but it only cost a couple of pounds from halfords and will last an extremely long time. I would definitely recommend this product.
