L'Oreal Professional's Metal Detox Hair Oil is an ultra-nourishing treatment that helps to remove the build-up of damaging copper particles that can be found in shower water.
Fortified with glicoamine, the innovative formula protects against dulling metal particles being deposited on the hair, minimising the risk of breakage, brittleness and colour fade. Its rich consistency helps to smooth the lengths without weighing them down for up to 24 hours, defending from the effects of humidity, alongside providing heat protection of up to 230°C. The oil smells great and I was very excited to try it, but honestly I don’t feel like it does its job very well. My hair is not very tick or long and it stills takes quite a few pumps (5-6) to feel like the oil is hydrating at all. Overall it’s a good product but overpriced. There are far better options that you could couple with the shampoo and mask of this same range and leave your hair looking amazing.

Good mid-price oil
Helps to soften and defrizz damaged hair, on both damp and dry hair but I use together with Nuxe dry oil to give extra nourishment as I feel like my hair needs a little extra oil still. Overall, I think Kerastase elixir is better and think I will return to that as it has heat protection, I prefer the scent, works really well in damp and dry hair that lasts and less is needed so better value for money.

Have read great things about this and have wanted to try it for a while. I think this makes my hair feel softer, shinier and definitely calms frizz. Hopefully over time I will see less snap and breakage of my brittle hair. It smells fantastic. I have a slight concern in that it its quite a dark shade and I'm worried it may be yellowing on my blonde hair/highlights.

Thought it was small but I just need only a half a pump for my shoulder length hair. Doesn’t feel greasy and works well. I don’t think it’s the best ever but what it provides does its job.
