Kérastase’s Genesis Bain Hydra-Fortifiant Shampoo is a clarifying formula that helps to minimise the risk of breakage and hair fall. Ideal for weak, brittle hair, the shampoo gently cleanses the lengths of impurities and excess oils, while leaving strands feeling stronger and fuller.
The formula is fortified with a blend of edelweiss native cells and ginger root to encourage the illusion of thicker-looking hair. Enriched with Aquaxyl for an added moisture boost, the shampoo promotes a lustrous glossy appearance.
- Recommended Amount: A coin-sized amount.
- Application: Wet hair and remove excess water before applying a small amount of shampoo onto the hair. Add water and emulsify.
- Routine: Rinse and repeat.

Bain Hydra Shampoo
Over the last 18 months I’ve suffered from a lot of hair fall. Not sure if it’s from stress or diet but obviously it can be quite upsetting. My hairdresser recommended me the Genesis range, initially I was unsure because of the price point but I saved up and decided to try it. I’m so glad I did because honestly, this range (if you stick with it) does work and I can confirm I’ve seen improvement with the amount of hair I was losing.

I've been using the blue bottle of Kerastase, which made my hair soft but greasy, so I switched to this one. After two washes, it has helped with my oily scalp, but I noticed more hair fall in the shower, even though it's supposed to be an anti-hair fall shampoo. This might be normal, as similar products can cause temporary hair loss while promoting the growth of stronger hair.
