The multi-purpose, multi-award-winning balm has been expertly balanced to suit all skin types, and combines the brand's signature blend of four aromatic plant oils (Clove, Eucalyptus, Hops and Egyptian Chamomile) to promote glowing, radiant, smoother-looking skin. Clove Oil encourages clear, clarified skin, while Egyptian Chamomile Oil and Cocoa Butter soften, soothe and condition.
Developed to be used in conjunction with the specially woven, 100% muslin cloth, it provides a deep yet gentle cleanse; effortlessly melting away dirt and makeup (even stubborn waterproof formulas) while gently exfoliating and decongesting without drying or stripping skin. It helps to slough away dead skin cells, smoothing and refining skin's texture, preparing the complexion for the next steps in your skincare regime.

Please Note: When subject to temperature change, the formula has a tendency to crystallise over time. This is a natural process and varies per product. Warm up the cleanser between hands to melt the crystals before applying. The exfoliation benefit is generated by using the woven muslin cloth provided.
The colour of the product may vary from yellow to green, dependent on the harvest of the Chamomile Oil. This does not impact the efficacy of the product.

Eve Lom Signature Massage Technique:
Apply the cleanser once a day, at night for normal/dry skin types or twice a day, morning and night for congested skins. Massage a small amount onto the face and neck over the make-up and grime from the day.
Immerse an Eve Lom Muslin Cloth into a basin of hot water. Squeeze off excess water and place the cloth over the face and neck for a few seconds. The heat opens the pores, allowing the aromatic plant oils to drain toxins.
Fold the hot, rinsed cloth into a square and, in small circular movements, work the cloth across the face and neck to remove all traces of cleanser and make-up. The Muslin Cloth here exfoliates and encourages healthy blood circulation.
Rinse the cloth in cool water, and again hold over the face and neck. This helps to close the pores, leaving the skin soft, smooth and radiant.

I do take my time with this cleanser because, the more you spend massaging the more I see results and is so relaxing. The entire process is just relaxing. Recommend this version, take a long time.

Expensive, weird smell and tested on animals
I received a sample in my beauty box and I do think it's a good cleanser. However, I really didn't like the smell and struggled with the waxy consistency. You're supposed to melt it in your hand beforehand, but this was never entirely successful and I would always end up with waxy chunks in my hairline or nostrils! Worst of all, a Google search revealed that Eve Lom products are not cruelty-free, so on top of the ridiculous price tag, that's an absolute no from me. No cleanser is worth what these poor creatures have to endure in test labs. I've switched to using cruelty-free, vegan cleansers from Tropic and Human + Kind and am very happy with those.

Don’t hesitate, just buy it
I was a little hesitant to buy based on the price but it has been absolutely amazing for my skin. I have combination skin and have had months of hormonal acne. I’ve been using this for a month and I can’t believe the difference in my skin. It easily removes makeup and has cleared the majority of my spots. You also only need a tiny amount each time-I still have 90% of the tub left!

Not worth it
I ordered this cleanser because my friend highly recommended it - she has flawless skin so I thought ‘hey, I’ll give it a shot!’. I nearly died when I saw the price but still, I trusted my friend’s recommendation. Unfortunately this cleanser did nothing for me - if anything it worsened my skin. I have combination/oily skin, and am very prone to acne. If your skin type is the same, I would definitely NOT recommend this product. It is moisturising and leaves the skin feeling very smooth, but it just doesn’t do anything against acne. For me, it was a massive waste of money. If you have combination/dry skin (like my friend) this could work great for you. But if you have skin like mine (which seems to hate life and constantly breaks out) I would steer clear. I’ve been using a Simple face wash (a drug store cleanser) for the past week (after giving up on this one) and my skin looks remarkably better already.

This is the best cleanser I have ever used, it exfoliates my skin leaving it feeling soft and clean, it takes of make up. This cleanser leaves an excellent base for moisturising. I have been using for quite sometime now and it's my all time favourite. Thoroughly recommend.

I'm with Vogue on this one - it's 'probably the best cleanser in the world'. I don't wear make-up and I've more time am than pm - so I use it in the morning before my shower. The difference it's made to to my skin [particularly on and around my nose] is remarkable. I use a magnifying mirror so I can really see the difference. And I love the ritual of it. And the smell ... And the simple elegant white pot ... I was in WHS earlier today - leafing through Sali Hughes's book "Pretty Iconic" - there it was with a couple of pages dedicated to it. It's certainly stood the test of time. I cannot recommend it enough.

Works well, but aluminum in the ingredients
