Clinique’s cult-favourite makeup remover enriched with Japanese charcoal, the Take The Day Off Balm helps to leave skin feeling clean and refreshed. The lightweight formula sets to work to remove stubborn makeup, sunscreen and impurities, while effectively detoxifying the skin.
Suitable for dry combination to oily skin types, the balm delivers a deep cleanse, helping to decongest the pores and remove pollutants and excess oil. Safflower seed oil, an emollient rich in linoleic acid, nourishes the skin and encourages a touchably soft finish. Transforming from a balm into a silky oil upon application, the balm resists leaving any greasy residue behind.
Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested.

Great cleansing balm
I've use the original version for a while now as a first step to remove makeup and thought I would give this one a try after not being happy with my skin. In just a few days I've noticed a big difference, this feels less greasy and leaves skin feeling much cleaner.

Only cleansing balm for me
I have always used Clinique cleaning balm for years and recently decided to try the charcoal version. I’m so happy I did as it’s even better! No stingy eyes and is good for acne prone skin. It’s also cheaper than Elemis so personally I think it’s worth the price plus it lasts you months!

Good
Easy to see where it’s been applied however I broke out in spots when I changed to this from the original one

Better for oily skin
Prefer this over the original as I have combo skin that’s more on the oily side. Be careful to not get onto clothing although it washes out

Clinique take the day off (charcoal)
Feels lovely on skin, use as first method as part of double cleansing method. Dissolves grime and make up well.

Hmmmm
I usually use the normal take the day off and was intrigued by this charcoal one. It’s weird putting something black on the face but it ends up clear and then white when massaged in. It would be best for ooh skins as it dried my dehydrated skin. Good for acne prone too

An excellent cleansing balm
This is a very good cleansing balm. It leaves my skin feeling clean but still hydrated rather than tight.
