Never used a crystal nail file before, so I thought I'd give it a go. I wasquite surprised with how smoothly it glided across the nail and at first I wasn't sure if it would be as effective as a standard emery board..but I was wrong, its super precise and does not snag the nail. I purchased this to go in my bag when out and about. It is good and does the job but would be slightly better if it had its own little case or even slip to go in. I have a large L.D one for home but that is too large for out and about. Brilliant price though for what it is.
