Avène Tinted Mineral Fluid SPF50+ is a gentle sun lotion for even the most sensitive skin that contains a blendable tint for creating a natural-looking golden glow.
Formulated with a powerful mineral-based complex, the sun cream utilises Pre-Tocopheryl to create a defensive barrier against harmful free radicals, and the brand’s own Thermal Spring Water to soothe sensitivity. Protecting against a broad spectrum of UV rays while continuing to be photostable and water-resistant, the antioxidant sun lotion will ensure skin is kept glowing and healthy-looking.

Before exposure to the sun, apply the product evenly onto the skin. Re‐apply sunscreen frequently, especially after swimming or prolonged periods of exposure. Avoid exposure between noon and 4pm.

Could be better
If used along with a serum this can make your skin really oily. On its own it’s fine. But I don’t really want to skip my morning vitamin c routine so I only use this when in a rush or on holiday.

Great for sensitive skin!
I am really enjoying this product, I do find it best to use this as well as a light concealer because of its one shade and matt finish. Good coverage for an spf mineral foundation, it may need a setting spray or powder as it can transfer easily! Saying that though it is great for sensitive skin, I use this in my day to day as well as light coverage on holiday. Would recommend to a friend and will buy again.

Nice product but quite dark and pills
The consistency and finish of this product is nice but the colour is quite warm for very fair skin, so you would need to blend well down the neck and/or have more of a tan on the body than the face for it to look right. The formula pills slightly under makeup and will transfer to pale clothing. Best for holidays when not wearing makeup and when wearing dark clothes.

Very good mineral sunscreen
My skin only tolerates mineral sunscreen and this one from Avene does a really good job. It is tinted and fits perfectly my skin. I use make up on top without any problems.

Pros and cons
I’ve never used mineral spf but switching as I have sensitive skin and am trying Dermatica for rosacea and they recommend using mineral spf with it. This was recommended in an article and I bought 2 tubes. Pros: doesn’t seem to irritate my skin, and blends in okay with a little work - despite the tint once rubbed in it doesn’t really leave any coverage. Cons: it is very dark for pale skin, though this is manageable with blending (it would be perfect for people with medium to dark skin who get a white cast from other sunscreens!) Main gripe is it has a gritty texture - it feels very ‘bitty’ and that’s not pilling, it’s as soon as I start applying. It almost feels grainy like a very fine exfoliant. So probably won’t repurchase but might try the untinted one next.
