Enriched with Retinaldehyde, a derivative of Vitamin A, the cream works to stimulate natural renewal for a fresher surface. Hyaluronic Acid is added in smaller fragments that allow for deeper penetration and more effective hydration, promoting an instantly plumped illusion. Pre-Tocopheryl has protective properties due to its antioxidant content. It’s more potent and stable than many other forms of Vitamin E, making it readily absorbed by skin. Ascofiline helps to support normal collagen I and IV while Dextran Sulphate acts as a decongestant, which can minimise the appearance of both dark circles and puffiness.
Finished off with Avène Thermal Spring Water, the eye cream has a soothing, comforting effect. It leaves skin feeling softer and suppler with regular use.

Apply in the evening only. Gently dab onto the eye contour, focusing on crow's feet, and smoothing along the eyebrow arch. Using a delicate patting motion will have a decongesting effect on the skin.

Avoid if you have sensitive skin!
Having used some other Avène products, including their eye cream, and having been impressed at how soothing they were I thought I'd give this a go. After 2 uses my eyes were red, puffy and flakey - not a good look! It's obviously not as suited to sensitive skin as their other products.

So good for sensitive eyes
I’d been using a different eye cream that reacted with my sensitive eyes and made them very dry and flaky. After using this for a couple of days they were much better. Plus it goes on so smoothly, is delicate on my skin and making my eyes less puffy and crinkled. Would defo buy again

So far, so good...
Wanted to try retinaldehyde, one step up from retinol; thought I'd start with this, eye wrinkles being the bane of my life! Only used three times, it's only for use in the evening, and will update if I change my mind, but so far, so good. Quite thick, just dot a little bit round eye socket and pat in, smoothing outwards gently. Eyes definitely less puffy in the morning even after three nights, so hopefully will see a marked difference soon! Purchased the night balm too, as eye cream so nice, and have high hopes...
