So glad I took the plunge

I saw this recommended by an online influencer (one i actually trust) and I am building a make up kit for when i travel and have to do my make up on the train/tube. This is a foolproof foundation. Its SO easy to use and impossible to mess up. It goes on easy, doesn't budge during application and has a medium coverage that leaves the skin looking flawless yet more natural than other foundations. It needs only a little powdering to set in place. The colour range is really disappointing. I have light skin that leans cool and i went for Shade 4....when i buy the next refill, I will try shade 3 as 4 is a little too warm for me.

Armani Red Cushion Foundation

The packaging is great. I've never purchased it for the amount of product rather for the convenience of having a foundation on-the-go. That being said, to me, it's long lasting and a good amount of product. The foundation is not as sheer as I expected. It's a little bit thicker than the typical liquid foundation. It has a natural soft matt finish. Not full coverage. Buildable. It's good for touch ups on-the-go. I don't like the fragrance.

Very light foundation

Just a thin veil of colour for those with an excellent natural complexion. Hardly any coverage so was disappointed. Just used as a base for other foundations like Estee Lauder maximum coverage which is the same price; lasts for over six months. This one was used up in two months.

Great foundation, wrong shade.

I'd purchased this foundation in shade 2 a few years back and loved it, but it may have been the wrong undertone (too yellow?) and made me look corpse-like, waxy, and jaundiced after a couple hours of wear and it had oxidised. The texture, however, was lovely, so I decided to give it another go. I got number 3, and while the shade was slightly more correct this time and looked far better on me, it turned out to be a touch too fair. It's passable now, as winter has left me paler and it's not a noticeable mismatch at all once it dries down, especially if I work it down to my neck a little. I may order number 4 (as 5 isn't available) in the summer when I begin to tan, though I could also very possibly make 3 work for me by applying sparingly and using some bronzer. This shade doesn't oxidise even though 2 did; funny that when I actually WANT it to oxidise a little, it won't. Texture-wise, this is the most skin-like cushion foundation I've ever worn (and I have tried several, from K-beauty to Western luxury brands). It is luminous but not dewy in a sticky way. I prefer a natural, glowy finish, but I can't stand most dewy foundations as they make my hair stick to my face and feel heavy, like I've been sweating before I've even left the house. This foundation feels weightless and dries down so it isn't wet to the touch, but it doesn't emphasise pores or cling to dry patches. The texture is almost similar to Dior Backstage Powder-no-powder as it's so natural, but dewier and with higher coverage. The coverage is medium and buildable, which is more than enough for me; I don't even apply it to my entire face, sometimes. My skin is far from perfect but I can't stand the feeling of thick foundation. While it's not cheap, I already had a case from the last time I purchased it and I can make one refill last me quite a while, so I'd say the price isn't too bad, and in terms of performance, it's certainly worth it.
